alone isn't always bad...

so, as some of you may know, my parents took my kid to the Dominican Republic on Monday...without me!
It's the first time she's ever left on a large trip like that without me...Monday was super hard and I was worried sick about her all day. Yes, I'm that crazy Mother :P
anyways...once they landed on Monday I started to feel better and by today I am totally enjoying a little "me" time. I forgot how nice it is to have the house to yourself. I've been cleaning and doing some chores I have been meaning to get to for forever, but I also took a little time for me.
Listening to music that wasn't Hannah Montana or Jonas Brothers and reading all my new art books has been pretty divine.
Tonight I will finish up my chores and kick back and watch a movie...and it wont be a kid movie!!!
It's my last night of freedom, I gotta enjoy ;)

My lack of camera skill is getting frustrating!

I might have to break down and read some instructions! *gasp*

I took the glitter outside for a little fun in the lovely sun today...







and check this out...the light in this one caught my hair so great!
My hair used to be that color naturally...



But the older I get the duller it gets. Now it always looks like this...



meh.

wow! Christmas went FAST!!!
It was such a great weekend! I loved every minute of it!

We had Christmas Day over at my brother & his fiance's house.



My Mom & Sean cooked up some amziiiiiiiing food!!



The kid & I both don't like Yams..but we LOVE the marshmallows on top :P






We opened a TON of gifts!!

The boy really liked his new Zune :)






My Parents got the kid a brand new bike...she was SO happy!

However, 2 minutes after getting on the bike, this happened...



She's never had a bike with front breaks before...she almost went over the handle bars!
But we dabbed the blood and she got right back on!

My Grandparents were able to come down this time...thanks to my awesome Aunt!

The day was filled with Family and Laughter and Great Food and much love!
I truly enjoyed it all!

All in all it was a wonderful Christmas Eve, and the very first one I have ever had @ home. So lovely to have (almost) everyone together. Tomorrow the boy comes and we get to ALL be together!! Yea!

The other night

...we went to the light show @ the stadium. I had large expectations, I thought it was gonna be cool.
But...it wasn't. Pretty lame actually.



And the weather was FREEZING!!
But we had a good time just all being together :)

It was cold! we froze our hiney's right off!
