8th Grade - 2014

My baby girl had a BIG day today! Not only did she start 8th grade, but she started it at a brand new, gigantic public school!

I thought her heart was going to beat right out of her chest this morning...she was SO nervous! But it didn't, and she came to the car this afternoon with a smile in her face. She likes most of her teachers, saw some familiar faces in the halls and even made a new friend. I'm so excited for her. I know this year is going to be awesome!!

Mother's Day 2014

I have to say, this Mother's Day was quite lovely.
I even got in a half hour nap!

 Cake, handmade with love, by the kiddo.

 This guy went above & beyond to make everything special for me. He is THE BEST!

Father's Day 2013

Celebrating Dad is always fun!
I was lucky enough to get two days of celebrations.
Saturday we drove to see my Grandparents. So the kiddo had her Granddad and Great Granddad to celebrate with.

 We all went together, me, the kiddo, the mister and his two kids. I love it when we are all together <3

Then Sunday, we drove south to Miami to visit with the mister and his dad and family.
The kids slept all the way there...

We spent the day at at the most amazing house belonging to the mister's sister and brother inlaw.

Great food, great conversations and being all together.
T'was a lovely weekend. Yea for all the great Dads in this world!

It's official!!

The kid is no longer a third grader!!

I am so proud of her!! Her last day of third grade was today...

I can't believe I now have a 4th grader....whoa!!

 She made honor roll and about 9 other different awards!

 With her teacher, whom she adores!

wow! Christmas went FAST!!!
It was such a great weekend! I loved every minute of it!

We had Christmas Day over at my brother & his fiance's house.



My Mom & Sean cooked up some amziiiiiiiing food!!



The kid & I both don't like Yams..but we LOVE the marshmallows on top :P






We opened a TON of gifts!!

My Parents got the kid a brand new bike...she was SO happy!

However, 2 minutes after getting on the bike, this happened...



She's never had a bike with front breaks before...she almost went over the handle bars!
But we dabbed the blood and she got right back on!

My Grandparents were able to come down this time...thanks to my awesome Aunt!

The day was filled with Family and Laughter and Great Food and much love!
I truly enjoyed it all!
