Sister really are the best!

So, I don't have a sister in real life, but my best friend Heather has taken on that role for for many years now. We are not related by blood at all, but get asked quite regularly if we are sisters, or better yet...twins! She really is precious too me. She's the one person I can tell everything too. We can discuss our dreams and our hopes and we really believe that we will get there one day. I love that. The kid and I just spent the weekend with her and her super duper Husband.

We relaxed, had beers and discussed our futures...it was divine,
and JUST what I needed!

My favorite local brew

Saturday morning we spent channeling our inner redneck with our lovely friends Trisha & Jamie... at GATORLAND!!

Despite the freezing temps & the rain we actually had a pretty good time. It's crazy how many alligators are there...quite freaky actually!

Sunday morning came way too fast. We had brunch with all the lovely ladies...

and then the kid and I headed home.

It was a wonderful weekend and just what I needed.
I have so many ideas in my head right now, I feel
totally inspired and ready to DO everything!
I have never been so glad to see a month be over...
Goodbye February...Hello March!
There will be MANY updates in my etsy shop this month
along with new blogs and new creations!! I can't wait!
I see the future, and it looks AWESOME!

So, I like got my hair cut and stuff.

It was in desperate need of some attention!!

Before:

and after!!

I've never dyed my hair before...ever!
But I think I love it!!

Happy Valentines Day Lovies!

xoxoxoxoxox
So, this year I'm single on this crazy day we all love and hate and love some more.
I gotta say, when you're NOT single it's a lot easier to get into the Valentine spirit.
However, I have so enjoyed many Valentine themed things this year in spite of myself.
Seeing all the cool DIY Valentine projects so many of you
posted over the past few weeks has been really cool and VERY inspiring.

The kid and I had so much fun making homemade
Valentines last week :)

The realized I am incapable of making those finger hearts...

My boss bought all the girls at work roses and they were delivered on Friday.
awwwww :)

and I made a tiki for my Threadless Valentine, Mr. tikimasters!

So I really had a lot of Valentiney funtimes.
I love my friends and family so much and one great thing about
having a kid is that you have an automatic Valentine every year :D
So far thats working out great, prolly wont last forever tho... I'm thinking
right around her 13th birthday I wont be her Valentine anymore.
But for now I'll take what I can get!

I hope all of your Valentine Day's were spent with loved ones, chocolate & cupcakes!!

Party Idea #1

So...My kid will be 10 years old in less than a month.
That is serious business...double digits!!!
So I want to throw her a beautiful party.
I am going to blog a few different ideas and
I would love to hear some feedback/suggestions from
all of you. She's decided she wants to just have a small
family party this year so it will be fun without
all the crazy hooplah of a large party.
Sweet :)

My first idea is an Alice in Wonderland Bash
I was thinking mad tea hatter hats for everyone.
Tea party decor, but in bright fun colors.
Crazy smiley faces, cupcakes, fancy dresses...
I could go on and on!!!

So many awesome ideas for this theme!!
I could do this ALL night!!

me I would LOVE to hear them!
