Mom's easy breezy tasty treat!

So I wanted to make mini pumpkin pies today, but when I got to publix they told me there was a nationwide pumpkin shortage and no canned pumpkin anywhere to be found. eeps!
So my Mom decided to make these adorable and tasty quick and easy apple treats.

She just used canned apples, dolled up with cinnamon, nutmeg & clove:




Filled some muffin pans with some fillo dough, brushed with butter:





Bake on 325 for 20 minutes:




Served them with vanilla ice cream:





and everyone loved them :)

We had a carving party tonight!

So due to the horrific and unusual (even for Florida) hot weather we have been having, we had to buy a new pumpkin today. The heat killed our original one before we even got to carve it...it turned black and smelled really bad! So here is the pics form our carving party...with the new pumpkin :) The kid designed & carved the entire thing, with just the tiniest help from me.

We just got back from the pumpkin patch! The weather was wonderful, cool & sunny.
I am officially in a "Fall" kinda mood! yay!!

Birthday #36 Weekend Extravanganza!!

So Saturday, Oct. 10th, 2009 I turned 36.
Crazy!! How did that happen!?!?

This weekend has been the BEST birthday weekend I've ever had!

Friday Oct 9th, 2009 The Boy took me to see U2!!
It was an amazing awesome show! Bono is THE man!!
They are so good, and their humanitarian side is commendable. Such good fellas!



I was crushing on Bono...hard!



After the show we headed back to Orlando. Woke up bright & early the Saturday morning and headed to Vero for my beautiful friend Nicole's Bridal shower. It was lovely & wonderful...just like her!



and...they had CUPCAKES!!




Then after the shower, I headed home to get ready for my two friends Beth & Andy's wedding. It was so wonderful and the looked incredibly happy. I loved it!



We got all dressed up and it was an awesome evening!



Then on Sunday, My family & the boy all went to Brunch @ The Sailfish Marina.










It was the perfect ending to a whirlwind crazy weekend that was chock full of friends, family & Bono. What more could a girl ask for? If this weekend is any indication of how awesome my 36th year is gonna be...I can't wait!


P.S. LOL @ the only thing missing from this weekend was a birthday cake!
