Bad Mojo Baking Day!

So...to celebrate my little brothers b-day my Mom decided she wanted me to make cupcakes.
Because I have been so busy she bought ready made frosting & box cake mix for me to do so with. Which really is no big deal.
However, she wanted me to use my new Ice Cream Cone Cupcake pans she bought me awhile ago, which I have yet to use.
So I did.
I hate them....so much!
Not only do almost all of my cupcakes stick to the pan...arrrgh! But then trying to get them to stand up was almost impossible!

This is the pan and what they are "supposed" to look like.

Well, five minutes later this is what they looked like:





Umm yeah, they FELL OVER!! To heavy & not stable enough of a bottom :(




Disaster! Heathcliffe tried to make them better for me...





So I proceeded to make some regular chocolate cupcakes and those turned out just fine.




Just goes to show, sometimes the best way to go is the plain old tried and trusted way. Regular shaped cupcakes FTW!!

Also, I totally hate store bought frosting, it's so sweet and is just no where near as tasty as home made. *sigh*

Other then the tipped over ice cream cone cupcakes it's been a splendid weekend! ha!
Sorry about the rant...I was just so disappointed in my baking mishap...they look so pretty on the box!!

(still) trying to get better!

So, still, after all these days, I'm still feeling bad...uhg!!
I really really want to be well.
I am slightly better at least, so hopefully am heading in the "well" direction.

Took a walk around my parents beautiful yard to day right after a good long rain, it was lovely!

Labor Day Weekend 2009

This has been a truly wonderful weekend!
So much goodness!!

Saturday we spent the day with my Grandparents, haven't visited them in quite sometime, it felt good to be there again. Unfortunately, I totally forgot to take pictures:(

Sunday, was awesome too!
My Heathecliffe came to visit and took me out on a date.
Which doesn't sound all that momentous to you I'm sure, but due to our current
long distance dating status our dates have been few & far between.
So it was just him & I, and it was wonderful!!



We went to dinner, saw a movie (All about Steve) and sat by the beach under the moonlight :) It was so romantic!





Monday (Labor Day):

We woke up & had breakfast out.
Then spent the afternoon on my Brother's boat.
The weather was gorgeous!
We went boating & snorkeling...it was so much fun! I haven't snorkeled since I was about 15!! Now I want a mask & snorkle for my birthday! I forgot how much fun it is!!
We saw stingrays, fish, crabs a really cool puffer fish and sae urchins everywhere! so so cool!
























I'm so happy right now, life is really really good!
