Things that I love Tuesday

Hey lovely blog readers that I love...

I have decided to start a weekly feature for my blog.
I will be on Tuesdays and will feature awesome things
that are making me happy for the week.
Sounds fun, right?

The kid and I are currently on Spring Break and loving
every single awesome minute of it.
So for this week MANY things are making me happy!!

Sleeping in is HIGH on the list!
Waking whenever I want (sans alarm clock) AND having as many leisurely cups
of coffee as my little heart desires...so good!

I love when my toes are done, makes me feel all girlie and stuff <3

The kid has been saving her birthday money and finally decided to purchase an iTouch with all
that moolah!
We bought it today and both of us are already IN LOVE with it!
So fun!! Scoops is the best game ever!!
If you don't have it...get it!! haha!

My new favorite etsy shop is the awesome Oh Hi Shop!
I seriously want to buy this SO bad!!

Thursday we head up to Orlando to spend some super funtimes
with my best friend/sister. I can hardly contain my excitement!

It rained all day today and canceled our beach plans, but it's all
good....we're on Spring Break!! Yea!!
I am having SO much fun :)

I also wanted to let you kids know, I am going to be switching the name of my blog
at the end of next month. I hope you will all re-follow me over at the new domain when it's ready :)

I think I have Spring Fever!!!

Like real bad!



I just wanna play outside and have beers with friends and listen to
good music and have super funtimes!
Is that SO wrong?!!?!

We FINALLY saw Alice IN Wonderland!

And smitten is what we are.
Dear Tim Burton...I adore the way your mind works!

It was dark and lovely and amazing and action packed!
I loved every single minute of it!

I want one of each of the fabulous dresses Miss Alice wore.
They were all so beautiful!

But the MOST important person in the movie was, of course, the amazingly gorgeous and oh so talented Johnny Depp . *swoons*

The entire movie was a feast for my eyeballs!
The costumes, the makeup, the sets, the characters.
I didn't even know Crispin Glover was gonna be in it!! I almost fainted. He's one of my all time favorite creepy guys ever!
Every single character was really really cool!
For some reason I remember being scared of tweedle dee & dum when I was younger, I have no idea why....but I loved them this time!
and best of all Johnny as the Mad Hater. His dual personas were awesome and one of them had a Scottish accent! *dies*
Oh and the queen of hearts was ridiculously awesome.
My least favorite part was the white queen, but she even cracked me up with her ridiculous hand gestures and gagging at all the gross stuff. ha!
We did not see it in 3D...and I'm ok with that.
If you haven't already...GO SEE IT!
I loved them all.
I am so glad we finally made it! Totally worth the wait!

a productive start to the week.

So it's Day Two of my six day work week and
I'm feeling pretty accomplished!
I got almost all caught up on my Indie Biz 2.0 lessons. yea!
I still need to make an inspiration board, but these things take time!
Maybe I'll get that done this week, maybe not.
I'm not totally worried about it,
I surround myself with inspirational stuff
everyday and I honestly feel like an inspiration board
should be built over time and not thrown together in one day. But what the hell do I know....?
Thats why I'm taking the class....to learn things and stuff :D

I am so ready to dive in head first and I have ideas flying outta
my brain, but my time is limited, real job gets in the way! ha!
But, I am making the most of any free time I might have.

I started several projects tonight


and I finished up a custom Save The Date for my
lovely baking friend Angie!
She asked me to make them for her and I had so much fun doin it!

Family Weekends are SO lovely!

My Granddad turned 83 on Friday!




The whole family went up to visit him on Saturday and
celebrate the occasion.
It was lovely!
You know, he's been around my whole life and each time we visit I
notice more and more how him and my Grandma are getting more and more fragile. Makes my heart hurt. What would we do without them?
But for now we have to keep enjoying these fun family times.

Roller Derby!!! Woohooooooo!!!!

We attended our first Roller Derby last night, GCDG vs Blitzburgh Bombers...and we are hooked!!!
It was AWESOME! and it made me realize I want to be a roller derby girl now even more than before. I could do this!! I HAVE to rearrange my schedule to make this happen.










We can't wait for the next one!! woohoooooo!!!

Today was exciting!

These photo represent a very tiny start into something NEW and really really fun!
I imagined how they would come out in my head today, and came home to make them happen.
They didn't turn out quite as nice as I had hoped, but I wanted to post them anyway.

I'm taking this (awesome) online Indie Biz 2.0 class to help me further my side business that will hopefully one day be my only business.
My business is a variety of items, mostly paper: invites, announcements, stationary, note cards, etc. but I also want to do design work for other people for their social media needs: blog banners, twitter backgrounds etc.
I make girly designs and cute like stuffs.

I have never in my life been able to come up with a company name.
For the last two years I have just went with: Nicole Underwood Design

But I am in the process of re branding myself and starting fresh, so a real name would be good.

Warm Sun

It was WARM today, for the first time in FOREVER!!
So, why not bring the furniture out in the yard & have some fun.
Even dug out the old bridesmaid dress....hahahaha! Fun!

I always know what I want to do but can never get the pics

Alice In Wonderland UnBirthday!

It was the kid's 10th birthday today.
I have had SO much fun over the past few weeks planning this party!
Together the kid, my Mom & myself did it all.
